Red-Light Therapy
Red-Light Therapy
Red-light therapy, also called low-level light therapy (LLLT) or photobiomodulation, is a treatment that uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to penetrate the skin. The therapy is non-invasive and painless, with the light absorbed by cells in your skin and underlying tissues.
The proposed mechanism is that these wavelengths stimulate mitochondria (the energy-producing parts of cells) to produce more ATP (cellular energy), which may enhance cellular function and repair.
Benefits:
- Support fat reduction and body contouring.
- Improve skin by reducing wrinkles and promoting collagen production.
- Accelerates wound healing, tissue repair, and enhances muscle recovery.
- Reduces inflammation throughout the body.
- May help with mood, sleep quality, and more.
